Today, we’re partnering with Anthropic to give Claude Managed Agents browser capabilities for the first time. Now, Claude can navigate and interact with the web to complete long-horizon, scheduled, and complex tasks—all without managing infrastructure.
Unlocking long horizon, web-based tasks
Claude Managed Agents is a new abstraction from Anthropic, allowing users to build workflows and scale agentic automations on Anthropic’s hosted platform. Until today, Claude Managed Agents were siloed to first party integrations and services with dedicated MCP servers and APIs. With our partnership, agents now have seamless access to browsers so they can complete work across websites and authenticated services alike.
Kernel’s integration with Claude Managed Agents follows Anthropic’s intentional design—decoupling the brain from hands, isolating sensitive data to the appropriate infrastructure layer, and ensuring sessions are ephemeral and observable by default. Kernel browsers come with agent-first features out of the box, including a live view, mp4 replays, stealth mode, real-time browser telemetry, and even GPU support.
The integration works through Anthropic’s new credential vaults. Register your Kernel API key on the Claude Managed Agents platform; once connected, Claude has immediate access to create browsers and drive them with Kernel’s agent-native computer controls. The Kernel API key is never exposed to the model.
Browser access is only the first half of the picture. The most valuable workflows act on behalf of end users, with their credentials and consent. Kernel Managed Auth provides this bridge, enabling Claude Managed Agents to work across any authenticated service, without the agent ever seeing or touching user credentials. Kernel handles secure credential storage, SSO redirects, MFA, and session re-authentication on behalf of the agent automatically.
What you can build
You can use Claude Managed Agents with Kernel browsers to:
- Deep research a customer lead—including products, pricing, and recent news—with a dedicated subagent for each source.
- Launch a swarm of QA agents in parallel to test different parts of a website with Computer Use.
- Run a nightly agent that logs into a vendor portal on your customer’s behalf, pulls the latest tracking info, and pushes it to your system of record
How to get started
Over 3000+ teams already use Kernel to automate work on the web. Now you can build and scale those same browser agents directly on Claude Managed Agents. Follow our cookbook to get started—we can’t wait to see what you build.
